Special Olympics World Winter Games 2021
The Winter World Games will be held in Sweden, February 6-12.

Law Enforcement Torch Run members can apply to be part of the Final Leg Run by downloading the form HERE. Deadline is Dec. 2 for LETR members to apply.
2021 Winter Games Sports
Competition will include the following sports:
Cross Country Skiing
Floorball (Floor hockey)
Kansas delegation quota
Kansas has been awarded three athlete positions for the 2021 Special Olympics World Winter Games. They are as follows:
1 Female Downhill Skier – intermediate skill level
1 Female Snowshoer – level 1 skill, 25m and 50m distance
1 Male Snowshoer – level 2 skill, 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m relay
Basic requirements of the trip: More detailed requirements will be given at a later date
Attend a training camp at Copper Mountain, Colorado, February 19 – 24, 2020 (these dates include a travel day to and from the camp). Cost of this trip is covered by the fundraising.
Attend the games (tentatively with travel dates that will be confirmed later) from February 3 – February 14, 2021. This includes a travel day to a central location in the US before the delegation travels to the games. Also includes 2 days before the games for participation in the Host Town Program….a city in Sweden “hosts” the delegation by providing 2 days of fun, food, hospitality, sport practice, etc. to assist the team in transitioning to life in Sweden.
Raise $8,250.0 by December 31, 2020 – SOKS will create a fundraising page for each team member.
