Join us November 13-14, for a virtual forum focused on the health of our athletes and the leadership to guide our program into 2021 and beyond.
The content of the sessions and the target audience for the forum is our local program coordinators, coaches, parents and key volunteers.
Day 1 – Friday, November 13

6:30pm – 7:30pm
Following the opening sessions, hang around with us for an hour and engage in some virtual activities and networking with your SOKS family
Day 2 – Saturday, Nov, 14

With Riggs Chiropractic
Get your blood and endorphins flowing with this great way to start your day. This workout is appropriate for all fitness levels and will help set your focus and intentions for the day. No equipment needed. All you need is about a 4 square feet of space to move freely. Please wear workout shoes. A yoga mat would be helpful, but not necessary.

Resilience (Self-Care) Session

Participants will recognize stress and its impact on their physical, emotional and social health, understand how resilience is built through stress and identify internal and external resources for self-care.

Special Olympics Kansas staff will provide an overview of the strategic plan for the next 4 years. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the organization’s focus and priorities for the future.

Sports – 2021 and Beyond
Led by Special Olympics Kansas staff
In this session, we will present on the 2021 sports schedule, discuss the on-going impact of COVID, coaching education and the impact of the strategic plan on sports.
5:00pm - 6:00pm
Registration is free and you don’t have to register in advance but please let us know if you plan on attending. Also, by registering in advance you will be entered to win prizes during the conference and receive the latest information as it’s released leading up to the event.
