The Regional Director manages all phases of the Special Olympics Kansas sports programming in the South Central Region (Counties: Butler, Chase, Cowley, Harper, Harvey, Lyon, Reno, Sedgwick, Sumner). The Regional Director is responsible for the administration, management, day to day operations and volunteer resources of the Region. Fundraising is a requirement of the position.

The Human Resources – Development Assistant is a dual-role involving full spectrum human resources and development department assistance for Special Olympics Kansas. This role is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level in the following HR functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment / employment and employment law compliance. The Development Assistant component is responsible for assisting in various development efforts in support of Special Olympics Kansas. These efforts will include, but are not limited to, maintaining donor records, working with Development staff on sponsor/donor recognition, and receiving/recording/receipting donations. Additionally, this role will have office manager type duties including maintaining and ordering office supplies and equipment.

Special Olympics Kansas has on-going opening(s) in the Healthy Athletes Department. Position(s) will assist with program and event logistics, volunteer management and data collection and reporting. SOKS will work with student to develop a schedule that accommodates the intern’s time with classes and employment. Internship location is in Mission, KS. This position is under the direction of the Vice President of Health and Community Outreach.

The Graphic Design Intern focuses on delivering high-quality marketing deliverables in the pursuit of strengthening the Special Olympics Kansas brand, increasing awareness, and generating demand. The Graphic Designer Intern works closely with the Senior Vice President of Communications to translate vision to reality, while ensuring the finished product cohesively fits into the broader canvas of SOKS  style and message.
