Maize Unified Torch Run

June 2nd   6:30 – 9:00 p.m

1.8 mile Community Fun Run/Walk  starting at Sam’s Club (3084 N. Maize Rd) and ending at Maize South High School at the Special Olympics KS Summer Games Opening Ceremony.
Members of the public can join the official Torch Runners led by the Flame of Hope & are invited to attend the Opening Ceremony.   Check-in and walk up registration starts at 6:30 p.m.; Run/walk starts 7:30 p.m.; Event ends with the presentation of the torch at 8:30 p.m. at the Opening Ceremony. Why are Cops Waiting on Tables? Cops and Special Olympics athletes make a great team!  Officers wait on tables in hopes of earning “tips” to support the SOKS athletes. At the same time officers create awareness of the unique relationship between Law Enforcement and SOKS.  All “tips” received are donated to SOKS
